Landscape Ecology

My graduate thesis at the University of Washington focuses on how habitat complexity buffers against disturbance in rocky intertidal mussel beds. My field sites are nestled in Barkley Sound, British Columbia, nearest to the Bamfield Marine Sciences Centre. Using drones, modeling, and traditional field ecology tools, my research aims to utilize both modern and traditional techniques to answer questions about nearshore landscapes.
